For climbing organizations and access funds
Route databases are for climbers. This is for the organization that owns the hardware: every crag, route, pitch and piece of fixed gear as a record with an inspection history — and the approach trails on the same map.
What it has to handle
A climbing organization is asked three questions it cannot answer from a spreadsheet: what hardware is out there, when was it last looked at, and who looked at it.

Bolts, anchors and hardware as records of their own, each with an inspection history. The one time somebody asks is the reason the record exists.
Attached to the crag and the route, so a replacement or a rebolting decision is made against a picture of the actual line rather than a description of it.
The walk-in is a trail with a condition, a status and its own maintenance queue — because a washed-out approach closes a crag as effectively as a bad anchor does.
Raptor closures, wet-rock seasons and landowner requests as a status on the crag, published where climbers look — not as a post that scrolls away.
A spinner, a rusted hanger, a rockfall in the approach gully — filed from the base with a photo and a position, into a queue your people review.
Hardware and access
The guidebook has the beta. Neither the guidebook nor the route site has the inspection trail, and that is the one that matters to whoever owns the crag.
Fixed gear
Every bolt and anchor you are responsible for is a record, not a line in a rebolting spreadsheet. Log an inspection with the date, the condition and a photo, and the history stays attached to the piece — through committee changes, through volunteers moving on, through the season nobody got to it.

Access
Access disputes and closures usually turn on the walk-in — erosion above a landowner's fence line, a braided social trail, a parking overflow. All of it is ordinary trail work here: mapped, statused, filed and closed out with the hours against it, which is exactly the evidence an access conversation needs.

Getting started
The hardware inventory is the slow part and the valuable part. One crag proves whether the shape fits how you work.
It is off by default. One setting adds crags, routes, pitches and fixed gear to the workspace.
With topo photos, grades and descriptions — from the web or from the phone at the base.
Bolts and anchors as you inspect them, so the inventory and its first inspection are the same trip.
Record the walk-in as a trail, give it a status, and open it to climber reports.
Free to begin, and the first crag is an evening's work. The record is worth having before the question arrives, not after.
