Photos
Every picture your organization has uploaded in one gallery, filterable by what it is attached to, and reusable on your website, news and events.
Photos brings together every picture your organization has uploaded: the photos on tasks and infrastructure, inspection photos, points of interest, daily reports, discussions, checklists, planned trails, lifts, crags, events, news posts, your website and your logo. Open it from Settings → Photos, under Organization.
Owners and managers can open it, and so can anybody allowed to edit the website, news, events or crags. Expense receipts appear only for people who can approve expenses.
Finding a picture
Search by the name of what a picture is attached to, its trail or its area. The buttons under the search box show only one kind of picture, such as Tasks or Inspections, and you can pick several at once.
Narrow it further with:
- Area and Trail, which find a picture through whatever it is attached to. A photo from a bridge inspection is found under the trail the bridge is on.
- Infrastructure, for every picture of one bridge, sign or structure, including its inspections.
- Date, a range of days.
- Only pictures with a map location, for the ones taken somewhere on the map.
Each filter counts what it would show, and only offers choices that have pictures. On a phone, the filters fold behind the Filters button.
Looking at a picture
Tap a picture to see it large. The panel beside it says what the picture is attached to, with a link that opens that task, structure or page, and its trail and area. When it was taken somewhere on the map, Show on a map opens that spot.
The arrows and the arrow keys move to the next and previous pictures. Open full size shows the original, and Copy link copies a link to it.
Reusing a picture on your website, news and events
Every image field in the website builder, and the picture fields on news posts, events and crags, has a Gallery button beside Upload. When the field is empty it reads Choose from your photos. It opens your Photos in a window: find the picture and press Use.
The picture is added to that field as a copy. The original stays where it was, so deleting the task or post it came from never takes the picture off your website, and replacing the website picture never changes the task.
